US Tour 2019 Announced

December 6, 2018

The New York Times recently wrote:
“The Bookshop Band is not just good but achingly good… If America’s independent booksellers can’t figure a way to get these two, plus Molly, to tour America, they’re doing something wrong.”

It’s been months in the planning, but finally we’re very excited to announce... our debut US Tour!!!!

We’re hugely indebted to a great number of people for helping make this happen. First and foremost UK book and media wholesaler Gardners Ltd (and their sister company AMS in the US) stepped up as our TOUR SPONSORS and we are eternally grateful. To the American Booksellers’ Associationfor the original invite to the US to play in front of all the indie bookshops owners of America, and all the US bookshops and librariesthat have taken a punt on having us. To our ‘beyond the call of duty’ lawyer Allison De Freeswho is helping us through the staggering US visa process, and to all the bonafide industry and academic experts, super-star musicians and bestselling authors who have written letters of support. To Jacob Stackfor the amazing poster, Martin Tompkins for the new photos and Nic Bottomley and all at Mr B’s for their tireless support and curation.

We know that many of you wont be able to join us at the US concerts, but we hope to be live streaming many of our concerts and we’ll come back with more information on how and when to best watch these - probably on our Facebook page or the page on Gardners website.

If you know anyone in New York, New Jersey, New Mexico or Colorado - please do spread the word - here’s a flyeryou can send. If you’d like to access and share our Press Packwith any journalists you may know in the US, please feel very free to do so, or get in touch if you have any ideas for how to help promote our concerts.
